Professor Becky Francis & Professor Dr Marijk van der Wende join CGHE Advisory Board
CGHE is delighted to welcome Professor Becky Francis, Director of the UCL Institute of Education, and Dr Marijk van der Wende, Distinguished Professor of Higher Education at Utrecht University, to its Advisory Board.
Professor Becky Francis has followed a research career focusing on education and social justice, incorporating education policy work, for example in her previous roles as Director of Education at the RSA, and as Standing Advisor to the Parliamentary Education Select Committee. Before joining IOE, she was Professor of Education and Social Justice at Kings College London.
Professor Dr Marijk van der Wende’s research focuses on the impact of globalisation and internationalisation on higher education. She has published widely on the impact of these processes on higher education systems, institutions, curricula, and teaching and learning arrangements.
She is an affiliate faculty and research associate at the Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE) at the University of California Berkeley and a member of the Academia Europaea (the Academy of Europe).
