Overview

At a time when universities across different parts of the globe are trying very hard to achieve high rankings in global university league tables to obtain world-class status, this presentation will critically examine how the liberal arts universities in Asia position themselves in such a highly competitive environment.

This presentation highlights the importance of role differentiation, reflecting upon the role of liberal arts universities in Asia in meeting diverse learning needs of students, and offering alternatives for graduates in managing uncertain futures.
