Thomas Brotherhood is a PhD researcher on CGHE’s global higher education engagement programme.
In his doctoral thesis, Thomas will explore the complex relationship between international student mobility and migration.
Having lived, taught, and researched in both the UK and Japan, the tensions within and between these two systems will form the basis of a comparative study.
More broadly, his research interests include spatial and systemic inequalities affecting access to education at all levels.
