Christopher Grillo
Christopher Grillo is an investor, entrepreneur and board member. He currently serves as the CEO of Irnerius, Inc., a data-rich, AI-powered, student-centric, college consulting platform focused on university finances, which he co-founded.
Christopher’s research focuses on the economics and finance of higher education, particularly, student and parental debt, higher education financial transparency and accountability, tuition pricing and institution viability. His dissertation, Shifting the Burden, focuses on parental decision making and perceived consequences of federal parent PLUS loan borrowing in the US. He expects to graduate with a Ph.D. from the Lynch School (BC), in fall 2025.
Christopher worked in higher education for almost 2 decades prior to starting Irnerius. For 10 years, he served at Boston College as the associate dean of finance and administration in the Connell School of Nursing. Additionally, he was an adjunct faculty member in the MBA program in the Carroll School of Management. Chris holds an MBA and BS in finance from the Carroll School at BC. His master’s in higher education is from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. He has served on the board of trustees at St. Columbkille School in Brighton, MA, since 2018 and at Oratory Prep, Summit, NJ, from 2011 to 2014.
