This research programme investigated the ways in which higher education is becoming globalised and looked at how to build a productive local/global nexus. Simon Marginson led this programme.
Project 2
This research programme investigated the ways in which higher education can lead to greater equality and social mobility, and how policy can anticipate its social and economic effects. Claire Callender led this programme.
Project 3
This research programme investigated the ways in which UK higher education is embedded in communities, labour markets and government, and how it can enhance its impacts. Paul Ashwin led this programme.
2015-2020
During the first phase of CGHE between 2015 and 2020, research was organised into three research programmes integrating local, national and global perspectives, each having major policy implications.
