Overview

This seminar is a continuation from the earlier seminar that took place in March 2016. It will present new research results from a project entitled ?Performance Assessment in Science and Academia. RAE/REF?s effects on academic life?.

The seminar will examine empirical results concerning the effects of the RAE/REF on academic life: on a) research performance; b) inequality; c) diversity; d) academic freedom; e) research and teaching; and f) recruitment policies. The study will analyse qualitative material from the field of chemistry, sociology and history in three different institutions.
